With more than 30-years experience working with young people and managing an after-school club for 14 years, my experience is crucial to the change that we want to see in children of all ages. My motivation is seeing children become confident and able to manage the life ahead of them.
When you understand that young people have potential and that it sometimes takes specific skills to bring it out of them, It's the most amazing job.
Children that attend my workshops achieve more in school and in the wider community. They form positive images about themselves and value their input in the activities that we do. I engage them in thinking about themselves as an individual; what they like, what they believe, what they want to achieve.
It only takes one person to believe in them and then they start to believe in themselves.

This powerful workshop is aimed towards children in years four, five and six.
It addresses the core values of each child and motivates them to produce the results needed in their learning environment. I hold an introduction assembly followed by a classroom-based creative writing session, where the children get to create a valuable piece of work to pass on to their neighbouring school.
When pitched at the right term time it can help with challenges faced around SATS, transition, and bullying.
Should the school require, I offer an extra follow up talk to smaller identified groups.

THE "I CARE" CAMPAIGN
THE BEGINNING ....
She suddenly bumped into a stranger, the stranger looked at her and was about to say something but on seeing her, stopped and gave a frown like he was shocked. He turned away and kept walking, looking back occasionally at her to be certain of what he saw. She looked around in confusion; was not sure how she got there either and everything seemed strange to her. It was all hitting her at once, from the noise of the motorbike speeding along the highway to the mother trying to pet her crying baby. She wasn’t sure where she was nor who she was for that matter. Everyone seemed to be staring at her, she knew something was wrong but she wasn’t sure what it was.

YOUNG PEOPLE'S PROJECTS

FUN WITH DRAMA
WORKSHOPS
Laughter thru Drama is an incentive developed for Keystage three onwards that prepares young people for life after primary school.
It is an essential life coaching experience that enables young people to challenge the 'norms' that are usually expected and accepted.
Laughter thru Drama teaches pupils the value of understanding the mind. They are taught key skills to enable them to focus on producing positive behaviour.
By understanding the principle that the healthier the mind, the more powerful the result, Young people use the knowledge of Mindfulness to reframe challenging behaviour and produce
MY WORK WITH SCHOOLS
Our Mission is to inform, enable and inspire young people to be motivated into making the correct choices and decisions throughout their schooling and on into their adult life.
By providing a non-biased platform, we offer children/young people the opportunity to voice their concerns and be understood. To obtain a better understanding of how emotions can sometimes be the controlling factor in their behaviour, and how they can choose to respond more effectively to these.

MY WORK WITHIN SCHOOLS
Our Mission is to inform, enable and inspire young people to be motivated into making the correct choices and decisions throughout their schooling and on into their adult life.

OUR REHEARSAL @ BUBBLEGUM
We always make use of our time at the Bubblegum Club. We encourage the children to express themselves. Our aim is to make sure that our children start their journey with a confident and positive attitude and leave with a deeper sense of themselves. We empower our children to have self-worth and feel like positive citizens within the community.
Film work
I have enjoyed assisting in making many short film productions and documentaries. Currently, I am working with some young people, filming a short film about knife crimes for use within schools and clubs. I believe that creativity is a great motivation for young people and encourage their participation in the scriptwriting, production and editing of our films.

I have experience of working on film sets and documentaries. See 'current Projects' page.

My current Freelance work is for the Bernie Grant Arts Centre, where I just completed a social prescribing project called HEARTICULALTE. https://www.berniegrantcentre.co.uk/
